Learn About the Latest Product Changes on the Product Bulletin!

You’ve told us that you want to know what is changing with YouTube and its features. To keep you in the loop, we’ll now distribute bi-weekly product bulletins. Product bulletins give you short snippets of all the latest changes to our products and are color coded, so that you can quickly skim and find information.

  2. This is great - very useful. Only downside seems to be that there is no way to receive these updates without proactively visiting this bulletin site. I tried subscribing to it by RSS, but no joy.

    This is great and very welcome, but please figure out some way that makes it easier for those wanting to be notified of updates to receive those without having to go and check the site periodically.

  3. I would like to link my web domain to my channel, but what is this "IRDB" that you speak of? How to do it?

    Also, can't say I've ever seen the ability to link an annotation to a Google+ profile, as mentioned in the archived 7th June bulletin.

    p.s. I'd also like RSS so that I can get an alert about this bulletin in Google Reader.

    1. Go to your web host and do a url forward to your youtube do domain.
      Mine is InconsistentPictures.com and it goes to my youtube channel. Is that what you mean?

  4. How do you link a web domain to your channel? Looked in all the settings but can't find anything.

    1. Go to your web host and do a url forward to your youtube do domain.
      Mine is http://www.InconsistentPictures.com and it goes to my youtube channel. Is that what you mean?

    2. In the bulletin it says you need to put in a request to IRDB to link your domain with your YouTube channel. Yet I can't even find IRDB anywhere on the web. Confused.

  10. [Account Defaults Metadata]... I don't see this in the Settings. So I guess it's not implemented yet.

    Also concerning, [Shows Square Artwork 100% Launched Across YouTube!]
    what is the point of uploading a Graphic Thumbnail (432x243) if it is not used? Only the square (600x600) is used then.

    2. no i did it with 3 domains on 3 of my 5 accounts using bluehost but if there is a way to use the domain like youtube.com/mjsiebolt/ then I would prefer that. I think this is why google is talking about.

  12. YouTube, I really wish you hadn't bothered with this new initiative at "keeping us in the loop". It's riddled with confusing or downright incorrect information, and you don't even have the decency to reply to your partners' questions about it. If my communications officer behaved like this they would so be out of a job.
